Creatine SupplementsCreatine occurs naturally in a wide variety of foods such as beef, tuna and salmon. Creatine is also created in the kidneys, liver and pancreas and is moved to the muscles via the bloodstream. Once in the muscle the Creatine is further processed to regenerate the muscles source of energy - adenosine triphosphate. Companies that market Creatine supplements claim that Creatine increases muscle mass and improves performance. They claim that the supplement helps the muscle fibers to increase in size, improve energy levels, increase strength, improve endurance and enhance the powers of recovery. This latter point is important to bodybuilders as it allows them workout more often. It is also suggested that Creatine may aid weight loss. Taking Creatine supplements may cause digestive problems if doses are consumed too close together. Creatine may also increase the need to urinate which may lead to dehydration. There have also been some reports of impairment or damage to the kidneys and the liver and how they function. Creatine Supplements Sites Creatine Information Creatine Products
